In Wyberton this tale is told,
A house there was from the times of old,
A house thats owned by dwarfish folk
That always complained that they were broke,
And a passing fairy this house did spy,
Its playful tricks it sought to try...
Jump little dwarves, jump up to the roof,
You can't get the flower, from you it's aloof!
It searched the garden to find a plant
Of yellow fire, the Lion De Dent,
And plucked it up, out from the ground,
And flew to the house without a sound,
From the rafters it hung its flower,
From the door and from the shower...
Jump little dwarves, jump up to the roof,
You can't get the flower, from you it's aloof!
The dwarfish folk this flower did see
But could not reach it; They were too wee,
They stood on stools and jump'd til gaunt,
And the fairy laughed at its little taunt,
So the fairies flowers forevermore
Hung from the rafters, shower and door...
Jump little dwarves, jump up to the roof,
You can't get the flower, from you it's aloof!
