How often have we wondered if we are at the end of the road in our lives?

At The End of the Road

by:  Linda Law

How often have we wondered if we are at the end of the road?
Troubles and pain, ups and downs, can we carry the load?
We take each step, believing we are doing the right thing
No matter how true our hearts may be..we live on a prayer and a wing

Placing family above all else, trusting that we must follow
The road to giving our lives to them, leaving our bodies pale and hollow
The face we wear often hides the truth; the cancer grows fast and true
Walking each day with head held high, no one knows inside I'm blue

No one cares what pain I feel...or how I manage, what I don't reveal;
If I go hungry, no one knows;  only my God knows what is real...
Before me daily, each child comes first, it's my duty to quench their thirst
Responsible, Dependable, that's my life... I often wonder if I am cursed

The years pass quickly and I realize I'm alone as my life unfolds,
There is little to show for the life I've live; but my God knows..
I've made mistakes, I am not without sin; I'm ready to face Him
How sad I feel that they can't see... I did my best..and I am free

How often I've wondered about the end of the road'
It's near, I feel it... yet I am not afraid...
The rest doesn'tt matter... Of that I'm certain;
He's the judge when this life is over....
The relief is plain,
as I carry no shame...
I'm thankful that He...

Will be waiting... At the End of the Road!

This is only the first of many I plan to read that you have written. When you wrote this you were hurting. I hope as long as I am in your life I can absorb the hurt for you. That is me. I leave you tonight with GOD's Blessing. I would love to take care of you.

Stay Well My Sweet

Dear friends, I posted this and didn't return to even read it again. Today I decided to ck into some of your works...and was shocked to read your beautiful, kind, loving words! Thank you. Yes, I am in pain, but we all are at times...Writing is the only way I can purge what is within me, so I read like a book...hehe.. No mask here, altho I do my best to pretend anyway. I love each of you, and pray you are all well. Thank you for your support... I will take it for sure, I'm learning to accept finally and just's strange tho, but if ever I need to accept, it is now.. :-)) hugs and love, lindalaw
