Dedicated to those who take care of my folks and other elderly folks

Growing Old

Life's full of changes, somehow, we are told,
Through process of time, we die or grow old-
We just never know what may life ahead,
For life growing old can bring fear or dread!

It seems there are some who truly are blessed
To stay in their home and find quiet rest-
But others demand assistance and cheer,
"Westview Rehab" we're so glad that you're here!

Just walk down the halls, it doesn't take long,
You may hear a cry, you may hear a song-
You may meet someone who seems quite aloof
Or maybe there's one you know who's obtuse!

Some of the folks are not able to walk,
And others as well, who just cannot talk-
But there's quite a few who've accepted the trends,
Wheelchairs and walkers are now their best friends!

Each day all the Staff show love and concern,
For here in this place, there's so much to learn
About growing old, yes, one day, you see,
The ones growing old here may be you and me!
