Brings back memories of my days in High School

They tore down that old fire tower,
the one on Fire Tower Road.

I think they said it was just too dangerous
but my the stories that place could have told.

I can't recall when it was built,or how
many kids before us, climbed that old fire tower

The one on Fire Tower Road.
Up next to the watermelon patch.

You could climb to the top and see so far
But oh Lord if our parents ever found out

We wouldn't be able to sit for weeks
much less think about going back

To that old fire tower
The one on Fire Tower Road.

We parked there, we partied there,
we even spent the night there.

We laughed, we cried, we shared,
we fought, we went steady, and we broke up there.

All at the old fire tower
The one on Fire Tower Road.
