Don't we all have a monster or two always under our bed.

Do you have monsters under your bed?
Oh no, I did, I do, I have!

When I was child the monsters were green,
I would cry out in the middle of the night.

And daddy would come quickly to my room
and scare them off with a switch of the light.

Do you have monsters under your bed?
Oh no, I did, I do, I have!

In the years as a teen I do believe
those monsters lived in my heart.

With all the boys I thought I loved
but then they would soon depart.

Do you have monsters under your bed?
Oh no, I did, I do, I have!

As I've grown to be a woman
where now those monsters stay?

They come and they go, they pass and
they stop with every a new born day.

Do you have monsters under your bed?
Oh no, I did, I do, I have!

Will I ever get rid of those bad little monsters
that say under my bed or in my head?
