Wrong, CC, so wrong!

You think because I no longer say,

I love you,

I no longer love you.

You think because I no longer say ,

I miss you,

I no longer miss you.

You think because I no longer say,

I want you in my life forever,

I no longer want you in my life.

Wrong, so wrong!

Were the miles between us to disappear,

Were the obligations you give your life to

were to disappear,

Were we able to see a show,

Were we able to eat a meal,

Were we able to spend a night,

Were we able to hold each other through the night,

Were we able to whisper,

I love you.

Were we able to truly hear one the other whisper

I love you.

Were we able to change the fact that I am old

and you, in comparison, are young.

Were we able to change the fact that I am old

and you are, in comparison, young,

I would love you till the day I die.

Above all else we are unable to change the fact

that I, in comparison, am old.

And as we know not what God has in store,

the vacant eyes you see in one other in your life

might one day be my vacant eyes.

As a man of conscious, in good conscious,

I could not live with myself were I were to give

that life to one I love.

You think because I no longer say

I love you

I no longer love you.

Wrong, CC, so wrong!

Age being nothing more than a number, love felt by two should be shared by two. Think again and enjoy the moment, the day, the present. Excellent write, but you are never too old. Be Well, Carin

Sometimes, words are not necessary because they are redundant and do not do justice to what we want to express. Nicely done, Mark. Love and peace to you,

Powerfully penned, Mark, you've conveyed your feelings beautifully in these lines. Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, karla.

At first I thought you were referring to CC (Cristobal Columbus) which thought he was in India (bad navigation skills, would have hated if he was the captain of any of my ships) but after few lines he couldn't be. could he?
The maiden giving you emotional trouble reminds me of other maiden that said, quote "you constantly say you love me, but seldom you smile" unquote.
Please, left your hair in peace, stop pulling it, even God have uttered when checking His female persuasion creation, "say what!"

Georg

PS. A dozen of red roses (without thorns mind you) will make wonders.

So precious, so innocently sweet dear Mark. Thank you for sharing. Someone is very special to have those words written to them.

Newfie hugs, Rose
