We’ve, decided,

you and me,

as we live

as we must,

where we must,

with whom we must.

As life together

can never be,

we’ve decided,

you and me,

it’s too painful

to say,

“I love you!”

So we’ve decided,

you and me,

it’s easier to say,

Better left unsaid.

We sign our posts with

but you and me,

we know what

the letters mean and

though we disguise

what we,

you and I feel

the meaning is there,

the hurt is there,

the longing to

hold you,

to be held by

you isn’t lessened.

The urge to love you,

to kiss you,

to caress you.

The desire isn't lessened.

The urge to see you,

to feel the warmth

of your breasts

against my chest,

to be within you isn’t

you and me,

we both know

I love the way this flows, sad but sweet with the thought of the memory holding on to rebuild what you still have.
