Before I Die: A Writers Lament

Too bad...

Words I will never hear.

Too bad Dad’s...

We, you and me,

we who write.

Too bad Dad’s not...

Yes,

possibly some do write

for their own pleasure.

However...

Too bad Dad’s not here...

We who write,

at least me,

I write so others

may see what I see,

may feel what I feel.

Too bad Dad’s not here to...

Words I fear

for I want to see

my "Climbing Boy"

ablaze in living color.

I want to see

Mitchell love and lose

and “Become” a man.

Too bad Dad’s not here to see...

I want to hear the

words I’ve written

spoken aloud,

and heard.

I want to see the scenes

I’ve seen in my mind

ablaze in living color

so others will see

what I see,

so others will feel

my written passion.

So others will be

immersed

within what I’ve created.

Words I will never hear.

Words I fear...

“Too bad Dad’s not here to see this!”

Because, damn-it!

I want to be here

when what I’ve created,

when the words,

when the people,

when the scenes

I’ve created

are emblazoned in living color.

“Too bad Dad’s not here to see this!”

Words I do not want said

because,

damn-it!

I want to be here to see it!

I know exactly how you feel, (((Mark))): my daddy isn't here either, and I would love to see some of my stories in print! We all can dream, can't we? And write! Well penned, Mark; well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( *prayers*

We all want the same Mark and some of us will be lucky enough to be here to see it. Thank you for sharing my dear friend.

Don't we all...! Too bad we got dealt worthless cards to play against gambling hustlers, because a pair of deuces always loses.
You want to be in everyone's funeral but your own, don't we all?

Such a worthwhile dream to have our words immortalized ... and you, my friend, should have no doubt that your words will still be here long after we are gone. With your moving and talented pen, I am certain that you will be here to see it! Write on my friend! ~Lizzie

Oh, this is sad, Mark, we all want praise and recognition for our words - I hear you. Too bad my Daddy isn't here, either ... but I'm sure he'd be proud of you. =]

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
