God to Dogs
I speak not of cats
for I know not of cats
but as for dogs
for dogs I know.
How, they must wonder,
do I live in heat
when winter winds howl?
How, they must wonder,
does this stuff I must drink
so magically appear
when my bowl no longer
runneth over?
How, they must wonder,
does this stuff I must eat
so magically appear
when my bowl no longer
runneth over?
How does the darkness
turn to light?
How does the light
turn to darkness?
How do the things
I play with magically appear?
How does my being
swell with love for
the godly giver
of warmth
of water
of food
of light
of love?
In the heart of a dog
the giver of warmth,
of food,
of water,
of light,
of love,
in the heart of a dog
the giver
must be God.

| Only in our minds. Doggies tell time, have uncanny hearing when the fridge door opens(from a hundred yards), manage to plaster your face with sopping wet fur immediately after emptying the drinking bowl with a shit eating grin on their face. They are love. Sweet poem Mark. |

THIS. Is. GORGEOUS, Mark! You capture the spirit of Dog -- and of God -- beautifully in thought provoking lines. No wonder they call dog 'man's best friend.' All the canines of the world must be wagging their tails at this. Shoot, if I were a dog, *I* would be. Sooo enjoyed -- well done!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. |

My dog Kaiser was in heavens when he could sleep with his head over my right foot. He was a one hundred lean pounds Rex German Shepherd dog, so go figure my foot wasn't in heaven! (LOL) But if wife don't understood you...he did.

How beautiful Mark and I am sure they must wonder, when treated so well. I don't have a dog but I did at one time, however I do have a cat and she will let me know when she wants treats or ice put in her water, she talks a mile a minute and reminds me that it is bedtime. I am not God but I am one of His workers. Great write Mark.

This poem I enjoyed greatly. I am a Dog, and Cat lover. At the present time I only have 2 cats as pets. A dog would be out of the question because of my broken foot. But I really like this writing.
GOD BLESS
