Storm over,

California sky deep blue

with startling white clouds

floating from here to infinity.

Hills burnt brown with countless

days of year-round sunshine

now alive with velvet-like

green growth brought to

life by the kiss of heavens tears.

Rolling hills with wind rippled

undergrowth born anew by

liquid touch,

as off in the distance

far mile upon mile

ragged mountains range with

snowy white crowns

leaving one to guess

if cloud topped

or snow covered.

Haze of the city washed

clean by wind and rain

giving vision,

so far as the

eye can see

with crystal clarity.

California sky,

Storm over.

I have never been to California but I have been to British Columbia a time or two and I picture California being a lot like Vancouver Island only warmer...someday maybe.

Thank you for the w o n d e r f u l .v a c a t i o n !!

Your powers of description and artistic discipline knock me for a loop.
Make us SEE amd FEEL, which is, like, a poem's job. Or anyway, an
important part.

Ahhhhhhhhh. Nothin' like a li'l R&R.

Only the 2nd time I've been to California. . .didn't even have to go through security, pay for the privilege of carrying luggage, and
sit with my nose plastered against the back of a seat ('cet, 'cet,

Be sure to put Chapel Hill, North Carolina on your itinerary. Azaleas are stunning right now, but I recommend October. Color's
outstanding and temps are usually just right.

Thanks again!
