California Sky

Storm over!

Gray sky opening.

California sky deep blue

With startling white clouds

Floating from here to infinity.

Hills burnt brown with countless

Days of year-round sunshine

Now alive with velvet-like

Green growth brought to

Life by the kiss of heavens tears.

Rolling hills with wind rippled

Undergrowth born anew by

Liquid touch

As off in the distance

Far mile upon mile

Ragged mountains range with

Snowy white crowns

Leaving one to wonder

If cloud topped 

Or snow covered.

Haze of the city washed

Clean by wind and rain

Giving vision,

So far as the

Eye can see

With crystal clarity.

Storm over!
