I want you to know
That I am not ok
That I am trying
But may never be
I want you to know
That I'm hanging
In there
I'm hanging
On
That my life
Is changing
Everyday
All the time
And that I don't need
You
To tell me
How to live it
Anymore
I have therapists
Doctors
Nurses
Shrinks
Helping to ease
The pain
I have friends
Loved one
Colleagues
That understand
More than you
Will ever know
More than you
Will ever see
I don't have to take this
On
I don't have to carry this
Load
I don't have to ask you
To forgive me
I don't have to ask you
To hold my hand
I didn't do anything to you
That you haven't already done
To yourself
I have no control
Over anyones actions
Other than my own
And I don't have to feel
Obligated to explain
Feelings
That you can't grasp
That you can't see
That you can't feel
That you can't handle
Because of issues
You have yet to deal with
I have my problems
We all know this
I have made many excuses
In the past
I have not a single one
To share with you today
Not a one worth a dime
Of your time or mine
Short steps
I take
Lead me where I belong
Home
In the arms of love

Sweet write and says a lot about knowing exactly who and where you are in your life and though struggling says also that you will make it with or without love.
