I took away my picture
I took away my face
I am not her
Not in this place
I am not the girl
The one that you knew
The one that rocked your world
The one like you
My face doesn't make me
Or my words come to life
It never set me free
Or stabilized me as a wife
I took away that painting
I took away the beauty that you say
I'm tired of your fainting
And your oohs and aawws
I'll never be the same
As I was back when
We played that game
And I was your one friend
I'll never be the way
I was yesterday
I'll never have today
To have my way
With you or them
With him or her
With any one friend
That we ever thought we were
Like
You know
You know
You know what I mean
This scene
Is getting old
So bold
My words
Unheard
You say
You say
You say what you say
Today
And away
I go
You know
What you know
And you show
What you show
But time will always choose
To show
What it wants
End this hunt
End this game
I'm not your cunt
I'm not that lame
Be happy
Be merry
Be gay
And very
Very happy
You piece of shit
You piece of dirt
I'm tired of it
Tired of this hurt
Leave me alone
Leave me be
I won't come undone
As you always used to see
Me
Me
The one you thought you knew
The one in the photo
The one that grew
Now you know
So go
Away
Today
Now
And somehow
Live your life
With your never-wife
And try and be happy with her
Unpure
In your ways
My memory stays
Clear of you
Most days
What I do
In the suns rays
Is none of your business anyway
