Poem written looking at a crystal perfume bottle.

PERFUME BOTTLE

Injected into lofty scent,
flowers from past demise.
Golden ambers call for touch,
ignite with fragrant surprise!!

Bottled lust in knowledge sleeps,
captured in crystals deep.
Rainbow colored trace of dreams,
leave echoes to memory’s keep.

Heightened flames of desire crawl
to pillows safe at night.
Carry each other within our bouquets,
skin clinging with moistened delight.

Searing fumes of caustic pull
as strong as intoxicating wine.
Dizzying fragrance, vaporous breath,
melts seduction into sublime.

Essence of fires, woodsy tones,
summon the hunter to follow.
The prey becomes the bountiful prize
whose flavor only the wind can swallow.

Summer spells ride high on clouds,
dissipate to reveal Winter’s mists.
What Fall forgot on ancient drifts
is what Springtime sadly missed.

Evening’s glory reaches far, ignites
sachets anew.  Moments wrapped
in enticing lace release their Morning Dew.

Elude your cause with aroma showers,
dispel shadows never confessed.
Glow in senses adrift in demure,
surrounded in nature’s nest.

Inside this bottle’s half remains,
existence thrives within its confine.
All that we are to outside worlds
is the trail we leave behind.
