Dragon Kites

Connecting to the elements...

Pilots down below,
unwind endless spools
armed with exhuberance
they gather now to duel.

Rippling
in the windstream
uncoiling
from a dream,
the lords of sky
are brought to life,
dancing on a string.

Warring with the elements,
wagging bravely in the sun,
hearts of silk, painted bright,
lure everyone.

Brings back great childhood memories of flying kites in fields during the long summer days! Love it!

like the way you've exagerated the simple act of kite flying in to something dashingly beautious and seemingly epic! Good one!
