Catlove
By Pablito

I was standing there talking
When I saw the cat come walking
Around my leg, she did lean
Black, furry, beautiful, she was seen
This I have heard, is just a catís way
To mark her territory, they would say
And on my knees I did go
To give her love and hope it did show
She rolled over at my touch
Was the warmth she felt so much
For awhile she would stay
And enjoy the moment until she went away
Catís can be so curious
Catís can also be so furious
They will also go see all the things around
A cat will stop when they hear a sound
Looking for anything important that can be found

So how do you love a cat?
When you are never sure where she was at
And at my feet she returned and sat

You have to always let the cat go
And then you let the cat know
That you would love, no matter what the woe.

Women love like Cats...men like dogs.

I read this for I have a love of cats and it stirs images of "Maya-ita" a cat I have at my Mothers. You reminded me in your line how the cat marks its territory walking back and forth between my legs and her trust of me each time she sees me. Everyone knows of my great allergies to cats and other animals but they cannot understand my need to bond with them and pet them. It is like people in that they cannot understand that God has entrusted the animals to our care and love.
