The air is heavy

as the clouds lay their weight on your lips

Your tongue, and mine, swell

like tidy pink sponges

absorbing rainwater

My lips drip with diamonds and rain and desire

Like dew covered rose petals

Pink;

Innocent;

Virgin

You kiss my combat eyes

And taste the alluring diamonds

Our hair is messied and weeping

As the rain pours

The kind of rain that makes small fast moving rivers

Along the sides of the streets

We follow suit and dissolve into nothing

We are nothing and everything together

Just you and me

We drip off roofs and houses

and everything that is soaked in our down-pour

We are every ocean

And every stream

And every tidy puddle waiting to be spoiled by some thoughtless shoe

How silly it is to be water;

To Kiss in the Rain
