All in a Row
Opened the closet, and I had nothing to wear.
At all the outfits, I just began and stare.
Many colors were represented there
All were stylish-- but sport- I wouldn’t dare
Most like new; but for some reason they’ve shrunk.
Even the stretchy ones I had folded in the trunk
I just dropped the lid, and it went clunk.
And don’t tell me to stop eating junk.
Exercise? No--that I am too tired to do.
Taking a walk may be important to you.
I like to watch TV, eat, sleep, and when through
My clothes should fit despite the food I chew.
I’d alter them if I knew how to sew
That job is too big for me I know
They are all just hanging there—all in a row
Some straight, some with buttons some with a bow.
This one makes me look bigger than I weigh.
Something baggy—won’t see me in that—no way.
I will wear black- makes you look thin they say
Then, I can eat all that good food today.
