Love Lost

~ A Man Alone ~

I walk along the shore
on my isle of dreams
My heart pounds
and my soul screams
seeking the one who
brought my soul here
Stormy times present
themselves in anguish
and multiples of fear.

Looking attentively
for her to appear
Seeking the one who
placed my heart here
She thought I betrayed her
so in pain she fled
Oh how I fear for the
tears she shed.

In my own sorrow
I utter words unclear
Thinking she will leave me
as I am here
Storms about share
nothing with me
For the storm within
rages like the sea.

I envision her auburn hair
and lovely green eyes
Tearing and flashing
as she suffers her cries
She was told a lie
and her love went cool
Alone now without her
I remain the fool.

Our storm is stronger
then it begun
Where is her heart
so I may run
To end this solemn
empty solitude ...
Her heart's contentment
is my food.

Her fullness of passion
fills my spirit
I spoke truth
yet her ears
did not hear it
How must it all
have been wrong
when she loved
and teased me
with her song.

She is gone!
I am alone
walking
on my isle of dreams.

God, I love her so deeply within my heart
My Queen of Dreams & I ... should never part.

Yes, I am alone
on my isle of dreams
My heart cries
and my soul screams
Punished with lies
of heated hail
Truth was spoken
but to no avail.

It is stated
and I yell it
to the sky
Too tired
discard me
so I may die.

So stormy
she hears not
my heart beat
~
Fearing an age
disallowing us
to meet.
~
Desiring the embrace of consuming love
Granted~Enchanted~Blessed from Above
But remembering
abundant tears
I saw from her eyes
We loved and lost ...
because of someone's lies.

A man alone to walk
drenched in sorrow
Searching for my Queen
Maybe ... to find  ... tomorrow.

This reads more like a song...I enjoy how you wrote this with all its imagery..and probably because I can relate so well to the subject

A great concept, well developed. One question though; the first line--is that what you meant to say? "I walk alone the beach" instead of, "I walk on" or "I walk alone, on the beach"? I wasn't sure if this was a typo or artistic licence. Either way, Great work! Keep it up.
