The Course He Is Charting

One  oar in front of the other
A little further than the day before
Rowing across this raging sea, as storm water covers me
I know He'll lead me safely to the shore

The same voice that spoke to the waters
And commanded of it 'peace be still'
Seems to be silent now, but the choppy water he allows
Doesn't frighten  me anymore

I won't listen to the waves crashing
While my eyes are blinded by the rain
I'll just continue on the course He is charting
With Him I'll always be safe

Like the fisherman  in pursuit of the prized one
With excitement I'll keep holding on
Before His feet I'll spill the net, and I'll never whisper one regret
For the days of stormy weather will all be gone

I won't listen to the waves crashing
While my eyes are blinded by the rain
I'll just continue on the course He is charting
With Him I'll always be safe

With  His hand on my shoulder, as the breakers grow bolder
I'll  reach the harbor, with my beacon and my anchor
and my best friend

Hello Gina,

I'm so blessed with this poem and the happiness I felt reading it.
"With Christ in your vessel, you can smile at the storm..."
Wonderfully written and meaningful in content, great style & rhyme too.
