Ancient souls from the other side meet.

I opened my eyes and I saw her
I opened my mind and I knew her
I opened my soul and let her pass through

A stranger on the street
passing by my side
I had to speak to her
Touch her wisdom

Plain  looking woman
Not outstanding by most codes
Not one to draw attention
How could one not see it in her eyes?

An ancient spirit stood before me
For all the world to see
Most folks passed her by
Their minds not set free

Mesmerized by her wisdom
Overcome with awe, I was.
To stand before this ancient soul
Know she was from up above

Many lives she’d lived before
Many times she had died
Always to come back again
Seeking to help others on this side.

She reached her hand out to me
Touched my cheek so briefly
The power in her fingertips
Almost brought me to my knees

Ancient one, why me I whispered
Have I angered you today?
Exalted now, it was hard to breath.
Why me? Why me? Why me?

“So you recognize me!
Oh no I am not angry
I was simply lonely since you
Left the other side again.”

simply gorgeous. This lady struck me as a storyteller. The romance is subtle. This is more a perception of a person from another point of view. Great job of capturing a subject from a different angle.
