For most queries there are variant answers. For this question, there is but one response proffered by Alec Baldwin. ( a video well worth watching) http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2012/03/alec_baldwin_peta_circus_elephants_animal_treatment.html

Three Ring Madness
He says we shouldn't
But many do
Countless watch with glee
Some wrinkle their brow
Hordes clap their hands
A few might cover their eyes
Ears
Conscience
How sufferable must it be
This barrenness of elephant chi
Void of compassion's moisture
Their heart's need imprisoned
Time's cultivation
Rendering Soul's irrigation so natural
At times
Appears so empty of tears
We peer down from seats on high
Cheering three rings of crippled principle
Compliant heads
Languid eyes of heritage lost
Intelligence quashed
Spirits broken
Left with but
Swaying heads and trunks
Like a metronome winding down
Slowly reminding all
Time eventually stops
Hearts refuse to pump
Tears are rendered dry
Before they reach sad eyes
When bull hooks no longer matter
When their iron talons
Become the only feeling
Creatures know
understand
and habitualize
Will ticket holders still hail Caesar
Profits continue vacuous
Complicit numbness prevail
Will we all eventually enjoin
Today's circus madness
Tomorrow's global metaphor

| Sad poem. It amazes me that anyone would think that these animals gladly stand on a stage taking orders to entertain us. Of course their spirit is broken. There are plenty of horror stories about dolphins at resort areas too. The list goes on unfortunately. Appreciate you for writing about it. |

| Yep. I fucking cheer when one of them finally takes it to the handlers and anybody else who is, unfortunately, hanging around. 'Nuff said on my part. |
