For all those who continue undaunted by other's will and dare to fail.

Color it sanity
While others wander among the colorless
And all but your own inner voice deem you over the edge.

Color it sanity
When the child in your weathered heart waits patiently for the inordinate
To redden the veins of life again.

Color it sanity
If you are sentenced to space where imagination knows no boundary
            Ignoring the alternative precipice where
                    without light
                           without shades
                                 without hues
                                        and without color
                                                mediocrity flourishes

Color it sanity
Lest we all drown a monotone death

Powerfully penned, and very good.

It's an insane kind of sanity that makes a poet go against the grain of life and show the way.

I find this to be a unique word version of the pictoral "Harold And The Purple Crayon" by Crockett Johnson. It rings with harmonics of life so hairpin-turned from monotone. Although it is difficult to juxtapose the word 'child' with the words 'waits patiently', I love "...waits patiently for the inordinate/To redden the veins of life again." That is a stunningly visual concept, and who but a child would know how red the veins of life can go? The third stanza holds several dimensions: "....sentenced to space...." brings the feeling of being quarantined in your room to have a good time instead of punishment - ".....alternative precipice...." then descends with your lyric form down and backward, wherein the elements listed fall to the bottom line: "mediocrity...." I like how "And all but your own inner voice deem you over the edge." wrapping into the end where the 'all' are the ones 'falling' over the edge in a waterfall of lack. Wonderful~ Diana
