After watching a succession of images on You Tube (posted in Personal Announcements) unscheduled emotions needed some grounding, so a few words were attempted. Hope they can contribute to your own sense of awareness.

Unexpected Moments

Ignoring the safety of preparation
moments of true clarity arise
as urging tears imbue the vision
rather than blur its essence

Just as
isolation of survival visits all
reminding man his satiate demon
may be his worst enemy

Hope remains
truth's first step
in making way
for hearts still open
still capable
still willing to embrace
the unexpected

How we react to “unexpected moments” says something about our makeup. I'm an adventurous sort that likes to face new challenges and figure out how to overcome them. And then there are others who spend an inordinate amount of time trying to avoid what never comes. Ron
