Who am I?
Where am I supposed to be?
I've lost myself in this world.
I need to be set free.
I don't know where I belong,
Where is it I can sing?
Someplace others can hear my song,
I need to be set free.
No matter what comes my way,
What joy my life might bring,
Alone at the end of the day,
I need to be set free.
Everybody busy or down.
My world so cold, so lonely,
Happiness rarely around,
Somebody set me free.
Embrace me with your warmth,
Love me as I am,
Help me find my place,
Somebody, please set me free!
Don't you see me whither?
All I want is to shine!
I know where I will be someone!
Once I am set free.
When I find my way,
To my place, I will be happy,
Don't cry, don't worry about me,
Because I will be set free.
I will have my wings!
I will sing my song!
Joy and happiness now surround me,
For I have been set free!

| Very nicely penned, Gean. I agree that most of us spend a lifetime searching for that place we fit. I believe true happiness and fulfillment come if we look hard enough and have the courage to keep on looking. Great job! |
