In an audacious move, Felicity attempts to build on the common ground she shares with Cynthia.

It seems my lover dwells upon your bed,
true though it is, you’ve long since set him free.
It seems we share a love that now has fled,
true though it is, he gave you o’er for me.
Perhaps my mood of haste too rash has been.
Perhaps too soon I spoke against your charms.
If you would turn your ear to reason keen,
If you would calm those heartfelt tempest storms,
If spite and jealousy you now abate,
If petty paltry malice turn to peace,
If unto grace you turn instead of hate,
Imagine how much Todd’s love would increase.
We made a rocky start, I know ‘tis true ,
But we have much in common, me and you.

Well you know the old thought, keep your friends close, but your enemies closer...Felicity is one smart woman.. or she's lost her mind..lol

I love this, you need to write a book it would be a best seller...

Peace and love,
Amber

WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN THAT TWO PEOPLE DO NOT THINK ALIKE? WHAT INTRIGUES ONE, TURNS ANOTHER OFF. WHAT SEEMS SO NATURAL TO ONE, SEEMS PURE LUDICROUS TO ANOTHER. SO WE SEE THAT FELICITY IS SO CONFUSED. CONFUSED TO THE POINT WHERE SHE HAS BEGUN TO SEE HER OWN ACTIONS AND WHAT SHE IS FEELING AS CYNTHIA'S ACTIONS AND FEELINGS. I HAVE NEVER VIEWED CYNTHIA'S REACTION TOWARD FELICITY AS ANYTHING BUT, GENUINE AND UNDERSTOOD...DISLIKE AND TOTAL RESENTMENT. AND THESE FEELINGS WERE EXPRESSED MORE TO TODD THAN TO FELICITY. IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY I THINK THESE TWO WOMEN HAD ONE REALLY EXPLOSIVE DEBATE, BUT NOW, THERE IS NO COMMON GROUND, ANYMORE. THE BATTLE IS OVER. FELICITY HAS WON, BUT FOR SOME REASON CANNOT TAKE HER 'PRIZE' AND MOVE ON. PERSONALLY, I THINK ITS PURE GUILT AND THE 'GUT' FEELING DEEP DOWN INSIDE THAT WHAT SHE AND TODD DID TO CYNTHIA, TODD AND SOMEONE ELSE WILL EVENTUALLY DO TO HER. THUS, FELICITY WASTES HER GOOD TIME AND EFFORT, THAT SHOULD BE USED IN 'CONCRETING' HER RELATIONSHIP WITH TODD ON CYNTHIA. WHO HARDLY CARES WHAT SHE AND TODD DOES(AT LEAST I HOPE THIS IS WHERE CYNTHIA HAS PROGRESSED TO, BY NOW). I AM ALMOST SPEECHLESS WITH THE MARKED CLARITY OF HOW THIS LITTLE SCENERIO SHOWS THE MARKED DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO WOMEN. ONE RESIGNED TO ACCEPTING THINGS AS THEY ARE AND GOING ON WITH HER LIFE. WHILE THE OTHER, SO TORN BY GUILT, HAS BEGUN TO FABRICATE AND 'PUSH' HER FEELINGS ON THE OTHER. AND DID FELICITY REALLY SAY, 'ME AND YOU'???!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I THINK HER CONSCIENCE IS REALLY BEATING HER UP. AT THIS POINT, IT IS FELICITY THAT NEEDS TO 'STOP LOOKING BACK'! BUT, BECAUSE OF HER OWN LOW MORALISTIC VIEWS, THAT OBVIOUSLY MAKES THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HER AND CYNTHIA....SHE CAN'T. ROGER, AS THIS LOVE STORY GOES ON I CAN'T HELP BUT BECOME MORE AND MORE IMMERSED IN ITS 'BEGUILING' ATMOSPHERE OF...OH, SO MANY THINGS! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT EPISODE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

You are really mastering this form, and, also, these enigmatic characters. Of course I'm no expert in sonnets, but it seems to me since the first, in this series, that you've progressed exponentially. peace ...

This is compelling and so well written as always, Roger. Curiouser and curiouser, this tactical move of Felicity's intrigues and you can be sure this olive branch of truce has method in it and more than a little self-interest... To be continued, I'm sure! :)) xx

you know this peeks a quandary of interests
from all us observing bystanders (or readers)
I know I like a good story with emotional confrontations :)
how infectious it must be to be for him to be set set free
and yet still stuck in the grotto of his prior lover!!
...of course worse for the new lover as she is knowing he
still dwells in his others lovers bed...lol
oh my goodness!! I'm dizzy HA!!

Roger ~
Felicity is fleeting hopeless words. Cynthia is wise and
doesn't fall for such storms. Splendid Roger.

Ah, I think this little ploy of Felicity, driven by who really knows what, is doomed to abject failure, and will probably cause everyone concerned bad tidings.
