Old friends reunited after a gap of many years through a chance passing.

By the light of the moon...
Infiltrated by your steps
Through the corner of my life
Why I ask
Are you hidden deep in the dark?
What’s your purpose?
Or what is it you expect me to say
Or maybe it’s what time calls for
In the rising of today
Maybe in the beginning this is
supposed to be the way
Reintroduced again how
will you play?
Into my path you will walk one day
Sooner than later
Maybe even today
Are you somehow different
in the words
You give and say
Will this impress you?
Am I running through the hay?
Or concealed in the shadows
 Where your imagination lay
Private in the park
Spinning on a ride all day
What it is you’re thinking
Is it too hard?
Am I too late?
Should I keep on walking?
Or stop to take a break
Or just walk on by
And continue to stray away
In the belly of dark
Tucked neatly by the bay
Angel H.
