Jesse's spirit lives in me. Not a day goes by I do not think of him and want him in my arms. Only, Mothers who lost a child know what it feels like.

Angel of heaven

On this morning

the lord gave to me

a very special gift.

A beautiful baby boy

as precious as can be.

It is so hard to understand

how quickly life can go.

Your tiny little body was too small

but, your soul lives on.

Your little heart could not withstand

that which life demands.

But, you touched our lives for a reason,

though we may not yet, understand.

As I lay here knowing,

I won't be bringing my baby home,

you made your way to God above.

To share his wondrous love.

 I know my precious baby

is with him in heaven above.

We do not know why you had to go

but, God has plans he doesn't show.

So, when we get to heaven

little Jesse, you  will be there

among the angels and with our God

as you are  in the care of our Lord, Jesus.

And, most likely sitting on Grandpa's lap.

Thank you for sharing your words and feelings with us. I know, from personal experience, the pain and yet the peace that comes from such an experience. Losing our son was one of the most difficult things that has ever happened in my life, but it has brought so many powerful blessings into our lives as well... What special gifts these angel children are...
