Aren't we just alike?
My big brothers name is Mike.
He is wise, and his spirit is
strong with cajun culture.
He is quite the fisherman,
as we would all like to be.
And if you need something built,
he is the best of this century.
Darrell, my favorite comedian.
He can make anyone laugh,
morning, day or evening.
He is the black sheep, and for this
very reason, I've often had to weep.
Meet him on the internet, catch him
if you can. But, let me warn you,
he's a very private man.
And then there is Catherine, a devoted
christian with a very stong strength within.
She has five boys and one on the way.
We pray for a girl on this delivery day.
I'm sure we'll all agree. Mom is glad
I only had three.
Jeffery, he is a dear you see. All he really
loves is to live life, carefree. But, there is one
good reason he has to fear. He needs to call
mom, just to keep things calm.. Befor' warned
as he hunts the fawn in the early morn'.
There's no brother alive that is more adorn.
Our baby sister Mellissa is a sweet. Currently
in Wisconsin packaging meat. Her middle name
is Dawn that wakes us, reminding us of our youth.
She has really grown in the last few years' and this westfork river flows with my tears. I miss her so much.I wish she was near. She's all grown up now,
this reason is clear.
And then there is me.My spirit is free. I love the beauty of the country side, and don't anyone dare to rest me in one place. Altough my heart yearns for much more. There is something
else that drives me to the core.It is that fix that makes us six.
I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO POST THIS. BUT, MY BROTHER INSISTED. ITS ACTUALLY THE FIRST POEM I EVER WROTE AND SHARED. SINCE I'VE GOTTEN A LITTLE BETTER AT WRITING, I'VE BEEN WANTING TO RE-WRITE THIS. BUT MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS WON'T HEAR OF IT. SO THIS IS FOR YOU: MIKE,DARRELL,CATHY,JEFF AND MELLISSA.
By the way, it was a boy.Wow, six boys!
