Another 'love'ly piece. My husband is my greatest inspiration, as you can see...

If I didnt have you
I wouldnt be me.
The shadows would have engulfed me
and I wouldnt see:

That the color red...
meant also love.
That the color blue
was calming, too.
That the greens were grassy
and the browns zen....

My rainbows would have faded.
Nothing matched.
nothing in.

I wouldn't have known
that to cry...
also meant "joyous".
That there were more
than one smile.
That there is life after death...
all the while.

I wouldnt have seen doors...
open with corridors...
The only tunnel I'd see
would be full of fright.

I'd have swallowed my gut,
my instinct,
my laughs...
and be stuck on
1 path.
I wouldn't be me...
feeling a heart beat so rash.

To GASP!, to SIGH, to FLY!
To know the life ahead
was worth the RYE!

I wouldnt have words fall like a teardrop..
upon paper with love....
so strong.

Everything would feel so wrong.

You gave me life and dreams.
You gave me all hopes and STRINGs!
It was those strings that saved me...
it was that tie,
that knot,
that bond that told me so true ...
the truth of living, of breathing...
