A poem for my daughter - when she became a woman.

I swallowed the moon

And pushed you out

Like the earth pushes out flora

Love surged within

Like a tidal wave of joy

You were placed on my belly

And I crushed you with motherly devotion

You looked at me

And struck my heart

Like lightening

Now -

Delicate roses rain on you

You smile

And the bells of our hearts start ringing,

Like a sweet jubilation

Darling -

You have wings to fly to any destination

Let them fly you to the might miracle

Of your Supreme Self within.

I like how you combined an almost mystical feel with a realistic moment, that in itself, is a bit of magic. Lovely. It makes me think of bells ringing the joy of a baby's arrival.

what a great tribute to a daughter-turned woman. Excellent
