Love?
Passion?
Desire

The Wooing
He is gone . . . the one who lives here
You like to visit when I’m alone
I placed a peach rose in a lovely vase
The organic coffee you savor
fills your favorite cup.

I feel the fringes of your presence
You allure me with your whispered words
Lovely, intense they stir my soul with desire
Like butterfly wings tickle a leaf
You arouse my passion.

But yet, you are so unattainable
Only the essence of your being
and never the presence of the whole
You bring the words but I must supply
the order, the tears, the sweat.
