The dim small corners of my heart . . .

My Heart

Joyce McDonald Hoskins

In the dim small corners of my heart there are places where only God can take me.

Stored away and wrapped in love are the broken fragments of my hopes and expectations.

In the dark of the night, I tiptoe to the door, open it a crack, and feed it new disappointments.

But in the light of morning, I allow my God to take me. He swings the door wide open.

He wipes away the tears. He mends the broken parts.

And once again I have . . . a clean heart.

Joyce, This is a perfect description of what I've learned to embrace...my own daily 'Quiet Time.' Blessings...Frances

He's always there for us. It's reassuring. I like the vulnerability in this poem. We all have it, but it's hard to show at times.
Hugs,
