Dual Illusion

There are two sides of one face--
One is kind;
the other is not so gentle.
One is loving;
the other is unloved.
Perhaps, one is curious;
the other is cautious?
One holds to faith;
the other cannot trust.
One is happy; the other is sad.
One has forgiven;
the other seeks revenge!
One cares; and the other hurts.
One accepts all things;
and the other makes changes.
Yet, I can only balance one face;
restoring spiritual strength
by faith; as I've chosen;
as I choose with all, or most of,
my memories.

"Balance"......such a beautiful poem my friend. The essence of serenity....the balance between our spirit and our flesh.........Thank you also for your kindness and your friendship!

Peace,

Bill :-)

How remarkable! This is the very essence of a poem called "Duality" I wrote in June 2001. This is the very picture of the two sides of every human being- written in simple style.

An ontological concept in psychological definition,
"Dual Illusion" delivers a profound message.
