Flurries, Part One

White ice is in the air, flurries,

I can see many of them float.

The weather is cold, I'm wearing my boots,

hat, gloves, scarf and coat.

Outside I'm making a snowman,

in the yard and I want to play.

All my friends are throwing snowballs,

having fun throughout the day.

The snow is a lot of fun, look at me,

I can run, jump, fall and slide.

I'll take my sled, out the shed,

and put it on the snow to ride and glide.

Moving up, down and all around,

I'm pretending I'm on a snow hill.

Moving, fast, faster, and

fastest when I stop I am still.

Winter will be here before we know it in PA. It is always nice to watch those snowflakes from inside now that I am old and don't care to play in it for years.

Snow is such a wonderful part of Mother Nature,I don't mind shoveling the snow.I can remember when I was a kid,I used to throw snowballs at my friends at school and use the school steps as a sled where kids would glide down on the steps. It was a lot of fun.I enjoy reading this poem as you express the sheer joy of playing in the snow.take care
