A long time friend didn't get to see his Son grow up but now his first Grandson is due anytime. I so wish he were here to see him.
The Spirit of Family
The first time I held you,
It was as though nothing else mattered at all-
You were my one true miracle in life,
My Son, a babe of purest love
Just the feel of life within my hands,
To see God’s perfection so close-
Everything about you was the recipe
of all I’d ever wanted; a Family, of my own
And Son, I’ll be there with you as well,
when you witness your miracle too-
When you take Hunter in your arms,
for the very first time; Ah.., Family
I’ve been there always in heart and spirit,
And I’ll continue my constant watch-
Feel the warmth of your babe’s first breath,
and know my soul has been forever changed

A great poem about the invisible "umbilical cord" that ties parents and child, and extends to generations after them. The strength of any nation depends on that bond, as families make society, and society makes a country. God bless your family!
