Anyone who knows me, knows I just can't pass up a challenge. Thanks Art for getting me to write today.

Art Sun’s Tell Me Love Challenge

“What would you ask of love or have it do?”

Since this challenge uses the word “it” to describe love, I am using love as an entity in this poem.  This is not what I would expect from another person.~sgh

 My Heart Refreshed

Oh love be fresh upon my heart

Remove all my fear and woe
Bring light to all my darkened dreams
And make room for love to grow
Roam gently through my burdened soul
Keep sad memories at bay
Pluck from my heart the pain of love
And let me start refreshed today
Bring sunlight to the early morn
And blue skies to fill my days
Take away love’s bitter cold
And it’s veil of rainy haze
Breathe life into my countenance
Add new light to darkened eyes
Take away the stains of tears
And protect me from love’s lies
Oh love become my spirit free
Scent my flesh with wild rose
Bring purpose to my weary heart
And let love become my clothes
