I wanted to add music, but it seems that the old method I was using no longer works. Happy 4th of July everyone!

Freedom

Firecrackers, Sparklers
Hot Dogs, a Parade
Kids playing, grills popping
Apple Pies and Lemonade

Air Force, Navy Air Shows
Taking to the sky
Burgers, Chips and Ice Cream
Hoagies piled high

Today is Independence Day
Let our colors paint the sky
Raise our flag at the dawn
And all day let her fly

Play a game of baseball
And have a fun-filled day
But when the day is over
Recall the price we’ve had to pay

There’ve been a lot of soldiers
Who have kept our country free
Whose sacrifice has given
This great life to you and me

So celebrate July the Fourth
Watch the fireworks on high
Go to sleep in freedom’s arms
Beneath Old Glory’s sky

A wonderful tribute to the USA and those who fight to keep us free.

I am so sorry I didn't see this before, but I have been getting myself re-settled here in Michigan.

This is a very beautiful, patriotic, colorful poem of what our country is. Everything you said here is the essence of America, at the cost of so many lives through so many wars.

But let's not just wave Old Glory on one day a year. Let us fly her proud every day, and yell to our neighbors that we are proud to be Americans.

For those that have fought, and are fighting for democracy and freedom around the world, I say thank you very much for the life I can lead.

Thank you sis for this wonderfully written, image rich poem, that let's the world know how we feel about America. and to echo Lee Greenwood's song...I will gladly stand up next to you, and defend her still today. America the beautiful is my home, and I am proud of her heritage.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister,Barbie

Poignant line, thanks dear Sherry for this wonderful July four poem

Flags are still waving in our town along the streets at people's houses. Summertime they love to profess their patriotism. Celebrating holidays like the 4th brings out more patriotism in everyone. Every day should be for freedoms and letting freedom ring out to us, because the soldiers surely are fighting a tremously horrible war for us to have freedom.
