This book is driving me nuts. I am not writing it in consecutive order but in sections as the mood hits me.

You said that you are leaving

After I pleaded with you to stay

You gave me promises you borrowed

When the memory slipped away

In the empty words of forgotten tomorrows

To keep me believing you’d return one day

Terry,
Very good, as usual! It sounds like someone really broke your heart at one time in your life? You put it all in words and I'm sure a lot of us can relate to it, in someway. Hang in there, it sounds like you have a good plan going and I think that it's a good way to approach this new book!
