I see a photo of the face of our President
And I think of all the Americans
Who will die painful deaths from cancer
Because of his decision to allow more poisons
To be poured into our rivers and streams,
Poisons that will lodge in the flesh of fish
And be eaten by our people
And open into seeds of death in their bodies.

I see a photo of the face of our President
And I think of all the people around the world
Who stood with us in sympathy
After the great terrorist attacks
In New York and Washington.
What an opportunity lost!
We could have pulled all together
Under the protection of global law
But instead we’ve become the most powerful
Renegade nation in the world:
A law unto itself.

I see a photo of the face of our President
And I think of the young American soldiers
Who joined up for college scholarships
But instead may die in Iraq.
And I think of the countless innocent Iraqis
Who may die, burned, blown apart,
Encouraging yet more terrorist fury against us.
And I ask myself: This President, is he the
Axis of evil? Or is he just that stupid?

As an Englishman, your coutries decision not to curb its polution is mind-boggling.
Politics run by paymasters rather than voters.

The way to change this is at the polls. Only 20% of Americans bother to vote. It isn't the presidents face that is the problem, it is us and our apathy. A fine work.
