Behind the mask of the human condition Lays a riddle beyond understanding What courage it takes to live The heart to give A hand to a stranger in need Life torn by disaster or pain You see the faces Blank with that look You all know of what I speak Like your life has been smashed The pieces thrown about Inconsequential, Your life no longer recognizable Like a mask on your whole life The call goes out and heros arrive Working through the broken buildings And the helpless living People struggling to just keep breathing Yet,in that moment,for just then Humanity reaches it's potentional for greatness As the mask falls off And the true human face of humanity is revealed
