Emotions

I think at some point in our lives we feel overwhelmed by emotions. In this poem I imagine someone feeling overwhelmed but then Jesus comes.

Emotions swirling within me
Like a volcano ready to explode
Where does this volcanic
 storm come from?

Many emotions frantically
going in circles
Spiraling faster
My heart can not contain the fire storm

I am coming to my breaking point
There is no relief!
There is no end!
This has got to stop!

Then you enter my room
Your gentle smile touches my soul
You soothing touch
calms the erratic storm

The chaos surrounding
my heart vanish
and the warmth of your love
brings serenity and peace

You bring the
hope of tomorrow
You bring the water
of rebirth and life!

How can I thank you?
How can I express my love?
I hear your
soothing voice reply

“Pass it on.”
Yes, I will keep the
chain of love going
I will pass on what I have been given
