Poems written from the heart most about real experiences over the years

It was a glistening morning in early May.
It was still early, my favorite time of day.
I sat on the poarch and watched the sun rise.
Dumpling clouds whirled across the skies.

Its the time of year our twin girls were born.
Memories of that time leave me forlorn.
We didn't know they didn't have long to stay
Three days later our babies passed away

Now many years have gone by since then.
The ache in our hearts is as it's aleways been.
their short time here on earth wasw not in vain.
we await spring when the poppies bloom again
