Death wooed us
Life taunted us
Reason told us to go on

God was our cheerleader
Karma was our courtroom
And love was our saving grace


ii.

She was the court jester
Her circus ended
With cannons blazing

Guilty stamped to her forehead
From Wednesday ash
And a bullet through her lies
