There's Nothing I Can Do

from October 1985

From the deepest, darkest forest trees
To the sounding fury of the open seas
Your beauty has always captured me
And there's nothing I can do.

You won't let me go to a place
Where you could relax and soothe my face
And do the things you do with grace
But there's nothing I can do.

To be with you for a little while
Would certainly bring a constant smile
To even be near you.. an inch, a mile
But there's nothing I can do.

So in closing, I'd like to say
I hope the things I've said today
Will not be taken in the wrong way
But there's nothing I can do.

Or is there?

Jim,
Never give up hope...maybe she just needs a little space. I feel for you, Jim. Its hard to love and its not returned.

Many blessings,
~Linda

How romantic! Yes there's nothing one can do but write about it, i think. Very nice poem and rhyme.

Oh to be so hopelessly in love can sometimes be more of a curse than a blessing, well said...

Be always safe,

A beautiful poem about an unreachable love. Sad, but with hope. Excellent write.
