it surprises me that people are scared to say goodbye any more
do they think that they’ll never see the person again if they do?
May be they think that they are trying to end something

it could be that the fear comes from the fear of never knowing what is to come
if we knew that we would see that person again we could at least say
“goodbye for now…”

is it so hard to let go ?
or are we just getting so tightly knit into our little cliques that the possibility of anyone leaving it scares us to no end

what then do we say when the end the relationship…whatever it may be?
If its a friend we wish them well in future affairs and go our separate ways
if its a lover its more difficult than that…but we must learn to move on with our lives

it is a fearful thing to haunt loved ones
its even more fearful to be haunted by those we once loved

so what happens when people walk out the final door?
The answer is up to them and you.

I can't believe this. I just posted a poem about an ending. It hurts to say goodbye. But sometimes we don't get to say goodbye. I think that's what makes it worse. You wrote this well and with deep thoughts.
