Sounds of Winter

With the sounds of winter echoeing throughout.
I grabbed my shovel and walked all about.
I watched as the flakes imprisoned the land.
And stood in alert with shovel in hand.

The land glistened with the freshly fallen snow.
As the winds picked up steam and started to blow.
What a beautiful sight it is to see.
So sit down and watch I know that's where I'll be.

Damn, wish I had snow where I lived. I'll have to travel to the mountains someday. Great write!
Cheers,
Tim
