Discoveries: A Journey Through Life
by Shirley Parker

Like the flash and dart of dragonflies, other busy lives surround ours as we prance unaware through our own world. Each absorbing story portrays a powerful sense of place..

Bad Day Prayer

I tend to cry
easy today.
I feel so sad
for no reason.

Fear has formed
leaving me torn
like an old
tattered sheet
made into rags.

I bent my knees
and said the words
but they bounced
off the ceiling
back at me.

I know You heard
but not a word
filtered my
war torn soul.

Although I tried,
I fear I hide
my face from You
in vain. You only see
my heart dear Lord.
Lift my soul
from this gloom.

You are strong
Your writing though, shows you humble and bow in your faith.
