A Note Away

One of those wonderful people in life that has provided inspiration to me, as I am certain for others as well, that uplifts my spirit and provides unexpected inspiration. She is so vulnerable...

A Note Away

There is a woman I met one day

Whose friendship is just a note away

We’ve never met, but it seems clear

Just a note away I know she hears.

Vulnerable as petite snowflakes

I picture her when she awakes

Sleepy eyes and tousled hair

Childlike beauty and girlish stare.

A treasure trove of family and friends

Yet, her self doubt never ends

A hidden world of silent thoughts

Imagined fears that come to naught.

Briefly I penned a small note to her

To sustain, uphold, and to reassure

Her womanly heart was pure indeed

Sad, tearful thoughts there was no need.

In quiet response in a note she said,

“My tears flowed freely, I bowed my head,

I saw me in a different light

Thank you for your keen insight.”

“I want to assess my feelings of me

To believe and be proud of the real me.”

The road to healing is not faraway

When a ‘friend’ is just a note away.
