My search for peace goes on and on
With a frantic urge to find
A place where all my restless thoughts
In You shall lie resigned.
And in course of all this chaos and discord
In my mortal roundabout,
My senses surface on the crust of life
As I feel my time is running out.
Yet at times when passing hours bring
Sudden moments to rejoice,
I hear at the backstage of my life
Your resonant voice.
Likewise when those moments of
Grief and sorrow intervene,
Your voice resounds once again
Through my heartbeats deep within.
And I should realize through the span of time
Which is still now left for me,
That my home of peace through joy and grief
Lies in Your proximity.
And by the time I’ll end my walk
And leave behind my warring thoughts,
I shall no more need this world
In the peaceful abode of the Gods.
